In broadcasting, there are people who have done it a long time. 20, 30 40 year even. These people are legends. Then there is Vin Scully, who is on a level all on his own.
Vin has been broadcasting for 67 years. He has been the voice of Dodgers baseball since before they moved to the Left Coast. He’s been broadcasting the good and the bad (and the ugly) for the Dodgers but this weekend decided to hang up the mic and devote what time he has left to his family and watching the grand kids grow. Below is his thank you to his fans to which all of us in broadcasting are and forever will be. Thanks for the memories Vinny! ~Bill
A little bonus, below is Vin Scully calls Kirk Gibson’s walk off homer to beat the Oakland Athletics in GM 1 of the 1988 World Series. ~Bill
