The Upper Canada District School Board has approved a report that could see well over a dozen schools closed in Cornwall and SD&G as early as June next year. According to an UCDSB release the board is faced with nearly 10,000 unused student spaces across the district equivalent to 33 empty elementary schools. So far, two public consultations are planned, one in November and the next in January. No word yet on the exact dates or locations for our area.
