The NHL has another black eye this morning as they go into full spin mode after the Washington Capitals beat Philly 6-1 last night. It all started with a suspendable hit from Flyer P.E. Bellemare.
The fans then started to show their displeasure with the game, the team and the season by throwing the commemorative Ed Snyder bracelets they had been given before the game. It resulted in a penalty.
Philly PA announcer Lou Nolan let the crowd know that the Delay of Game penalty was not because of the team.
After several line brawls to open up the playoffs this week and a poor showing from Flyer players and fans, the NHL will have to find a way to keep families, Canadian team fans and hockey lovers like me watching. ~Bill
