You don’t always know if you’re getting to your listening ausience in this business. That’s the reason we love get feedback, even if it’s not all positive, so we can adjust according to what they want.
Every now and then you get one that really hits you in the “feels” and makes your day. The one where all the prep hours and extra time you log has more meaning than it ever did.
This post from Jody really has us blushing and humbled. Thanks for taking the time pal, it means a lot.
Here is what he wrote:
I am a huge listener of the station and wanted to do this for some time. It is awesome to hear the familiar voices in the morning. Some of the stuff that Dan, Bill and Darryl and the rest of the gang say I find myself laughing and put’s a smile on my face (We can all use more of that today). The saddest part for me is my commute to Ottawa in the AM, when I get out of Boom 101.9 range. I have made the commute for the last 20 years. I look forward to the AM and the morning show then to catch Darrel in the PM and Kevin on the weekend.
I just wanted to put this together to thank you for all you do in the community, yes sometimes it is part of the job but I know lots of times it is just the love of your community. You also help many people that you don’t even realize. Music is what moves the soul and sometimes you put that one song on that explains everything, at that moment that someone is struggling with.
I don’t think you understand how important you boys are to this community. So from me to you Thank You for all you do boys. You truly make my morning, and my community a better place.
We could not ask for better ambassadors to our city Ryan can stay wherever he is you are home and you are making a difference regardless .. and for me drift away the Dobie Gray version speaks volumes… Please don’t change a thing keep up the good work…… Merry Christmas….
