I got a sneak peek at Kings and Little Ones yesterday on the corner of Pitt and George Assaly lane after I was asked to lend my beard and cranium so the new barbers could train in preperation for their grand opening on August 1st.
This place is definitely like a dude hang out for men from the young fellas to the dads and even grand dads. There are tablets to keep the kids entertained while they wait and televisions at every chair for you or your little one to watch while you get groomed.
The barbers are being trained by pros from Ottawa and are learning the art of a good fade, hot towel treatments, straight blade shaving to dry shaving. I had my face and head dry shaved yesterday and you would swear they used a razor, it was a very cool experience. Then the after shave care to make you feel like a million bucks will keep you going back. I won’t go into too much detail here, you just need to go and see what I mean, you’ll love it!
Owner Josh Casselman felt there was a need for something like this in Cornwall and spent months going to different barber shops to experience all the different types and shaves and cuts to find the right mix and methods to appeal to a broad client base. I feel like he nailed it. Everything from the decor, the cut and shave options to the accessories and other products available seem to be perfect for every “man”.
The doors open August 1st and I strongly encourage you to check this place out. From a cut, to a trim, to a shave, this place will have what you’re looking for. If you’ve never had a hot towel treatment fellas, now is your chance. It’s worth the trip alone.
