Anyone else hate finding our eight-legged friends in the house, in your room, the shower (once you’re already in it)? Somehow at our house we changed from just squishing them and flushing them away to saving them, that’s right, we catch and release them.
Back a few years ago, my wife’s grandmother told her that by not killing spiders money would come. Since then we have, or I should say, she has been catching and releasing them. I have yet to see the financial reward for all this work. She takes a glass and traps it, then slides a paper under to keep it in, then let’s it go outside. Does anyone else in the world do this?
I know they eat mosquitoes and other bugs we hate but the few we would squish wouldn’t impact their entire clans…have you even seen spider babies hatch, there are hundreds of them!
Despite my protest and highlighted waste of effort when we do this seemingly humane act, we continue to SAVE the spiders.
Is there anyone out there who does this too?
