I had the pleasure of experiencing the 1st annual Kinsmen Fall Fest and I certainly hope that it returns next year. People will tell you what went wrong with the event. Those people will always be around, unfortunately. But, here’s what went right.
One, it was free to walk around and check out Fall Fest. The price was right.
Two, great food from all the vendors on the grounds. My family and I sampled as much as I could and was not disappointed.
And three, the entertainment was top notch. From local talent like Jamie Heath and Roxanne Delage to the tribute bands that rocked out great memories from Bon Jovi, The BeeGees and Fleetwood Mac, the Bandshell in Lamoureux park was buzzing all weekend long. Awesome!
Lamoureux Park is such a great space and it would be a shame if Ribfest (which is a fantastic event in it’s own right) were the last major festival it sees until Winterfest. Fall Fest deserves to run again next year.
Consider this a sounding board for what would make Fall Fest better in your mind. Write it down in the comment section below and maybe your idea will be the one that lifts Fall Fest to new heights next year. ~Bill
